The Stroke (built in travel) of the Smart Drill allows us to rapidly determine the optimal weight on the bit. The Smart Drill stores torque and automatically reduces weight on the bit (moves vertically) when an increase in torque is detected. This automatic vertical movement maximizes motor RPM’s while minimizing motor stalls.
